Export your data

Download all your conversations, customers, saved replies and knowledge base from Kognit as one file.

Your data is yours. You can download all of it at any time, to keep a backup or to move it elsewhere.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Import & export.
  2. Under Download your data, click Download everything.
  3. Your browser saves kognit-export-<date>.json.

What's in the file

  • conversations: every inbox conversation, with its channel, status, subject, customer, tags and every message (who wrote it, the text, the time and any attachments).
  • contacts: every customer, with name, email, phone and where they came from.
  • savedReplies: your saved replies.
  • knowledgeBase: every store answer the AI uses, including the ones learned from your website or store policies.

The file is JSON, which spreadsheet tools, developers and other helpdesks can read. You can also import it back into Kognit with Import from a file.

Who can export

Owners and admins with permission to edit settings. The export contains customer data, so keep the file somewhere safe.
